The quest for more information.
Thanks to everyone for your support, feedback, corrections and updates! The only way
for me to present the best and up-to date information, is for you to help me. That could
be as simple as a hyperlink with a brief description of what is at the other end, or more
detailed information about your small satellite involvement, mission or technology. Also
please feel free to send me links in these pages that you have found no longer valid.
I also welcome all your emails on the diverse subjects of Space exploration and
exploitation. Although I would like to answer every email, I am often overwhelmed, and
therefore not always able to answer all your questions and requests for additional
information. If you supply me with information, it may take anything from a few hours to a
month before it is added.
It will help me sort my mail if you could use "SSHP:" in the email message
title.

SSHP FAQ
How many satellites are there in orbit around the Earth?
In September 2000, US Space Command tracked 2698 satellites of which approximately one
third were active.
Where can I find more information on...
First try
SSHP links
One of the many search engines.
Alternatively try and find the references.
I rarely have the time or funds to send you copies of references or papers, but will be
glad to reciprocate if you send something!
Emails often failing to get answered
I receive many emails each day related to these pages, and although I will try to do
the best I can in answering your emails, I usually can not answer all, and particularly
the following questions:
Contact information for companies
"Please send me a list of all
satellites"
Vague requests such as "I am
doing a school project and I need to know about satellites..."
Anything required by tomorrow
Thanks you for understanding!
How can I print these pages
Some browsers try to recreate the white text on your white paper. The best way around
this is to download the page of interest, and edit the color information in the header
using an ASCII editor (such as "notepad" under Microsoft Windows)
Change:
<body background="icons/cosmos.gif" bgcolor="#000000" text="#FFFFFF" link="#00FFFF" vlink="#FFFF00" alink="#0077FF">
To just:
<body>
How can I speed up loading the pages
Switch off the loading of graphical images in your browser. On most browsers you can
then load these later by clicking on the empty placeholders.
