DARPA Picosat 7 and 8 (aka MEPSI-2), 2000-042C
A tethered set of picosatellites within the MEPSI programme, built by the Aerospace Corp and funded by ARPA and UCLA weighting just 0.25kg each and measuring 100x750x250mm each. They were launched from the MightySAT-II.1 minisatellite on the 7th September 2001 into a 511x539km orbit inclined at 97.8deg, which itself was launched in 2000.

Reflector, 2001-056E, (27005)
REFLECTOR was launched with the METEOR-3M-N1 meteorological satellite on a Zenit launcher from Baikonur Kosmodrome on the 10th December 2001, into a 996x1050km sun-synchronous orbit inclined at 99.7degrees. Other piggyback payloads on the same launch include Tubsat-C, Kompass and Reflector. The spacecraft was built by the NII KP in Russia as a joint experiment with the US Air Force investigating space debris. The spacecraft looks like a passive radar reflector corner cube with four fins, and weighs 6kg. It is 1.5m long and 0.5m diameter and also carries a set of corner reflectors. More...
