SORCE, 2002-003A
An Orbital Sciences air-launched Pegasus booster is to launch the NASA-sponsored Solar Radiation and Climate Experiment satellite, SORCE on the 25th January, into a 610x650km orbit inclined at 40 degrees. The craft will measure X-ray, ultraviolet, near-infrared and total solar radiation and the effect of this radiation on long-term climate change, climate prediction, atmospheric ozone and ultraviolet B radiation.
