Table of conversion Constants

Metric to Imperial

You will have noticed that the primary units used in this archive are SI units, resulting in orbital dimensions given in kilometres (km), spacecraft dimensions in metres (m) or millimetres (mm), and spacecraft masses in kilograms (kg). I recognise that sometimes it is conceptually easier to use the units you are used to (which for me being a spacecraft engineer is metric). The list below allows you to convert these units to your favourite units!

1 Nautical Mile NM 1.852 km
1 Pound lb 0.454 kg
1 Inch in 25.4 mm
1 Feet ft 304.8 mm
